this afternoon, i've just been offered a very nice E21... it's had all the bodywork done, but has been standing a while, and could do with a bit of tidying up. but then i got thinking about the prospect of removing the smokey M20 engine and trying to shoehorn a more modern engine into it. maybe a M52 or M54. now, a 250hp E21 could be a lot of fun... of course, the M60 V8 would be the one, but not sure how big an E21 engine bay is... but, i'm very tempted by the thought of a hot E21.

Strangely the V10's from the E60 M5 seem to be quite cheap. I saw one on e-bay not so long ago for £6500. E39 M5 engines can go for that.
