bmw e36 2 problems
the front discs needed changing so I changed them....
front pass side was a bugger to remove lots of small rust bits from old disc on floor etc...
ok 1st problem
I now have the dreaded abs/asc lights on dash
BUT these where changed about 14 months ago... I have tried a quick clean without removing the whole hub as the units are solid in and I dont want to snap them in removing them.
but it seems to be starnge I'll give you an example.... I start car in morning to go to work both lights are on... drive to bottom of my road lights go out... drive about 2 miles lights go on and stay on till next morning but the lights come on at the same point (ie the same place on my journey) every time so im thinking is there a time delay for these to turn off then come back on again?
2nd problem
Ive noticed I have a headlight problem turn on car tun one click to low beam rear ligths come on but no front lights turn to 2nd click headlights are both working put full beam on all 4 lights light up... I have checked the bulbs all seem ok and no blown fuses...
any ideas?

I had a similar problem with the ABS lights. The sensors are temperamental and usually don't want to come out in one piece. Mine would come on and off too. I changed the sensors (destroying them to remove them) and the problem was gone.
Obvious, but have you checked the light relays for your headlights?

where are the relays under dash or ?

I think yours would be in the fuse box.
There is a way of checking the sensors. I will ask Nick at GCS tomorrow.

Do the side lights come on at all when you have your dip beam on or main beam

side lights? no when u turn the light dial 1st click dash lights and rear lights only then turn to 2nd click headlights (outer 2 lights on front view of car) full flash beam all 4 lights come on

doh the lights work the earth looked ok but wasnt....
Im going to remove the hub and give the sensors and hub reader a clean if that fails then thats another set of sensors im buying..............
