Hi Ken,
Just twelve hours to go now! Here in Florida, we have to get up pretty early to watch qualifying and the races - we were up at six this morning to see qualifying.
I'm so looking forward to it.
The TV coverage of qualifying here was poor because there were no graphics showing positions and times like there was last year. I wonder if you get the same feed. And we couldn't follow it on the internet because it had a slight tape-delay. Annoying! But still, it's so good to have F1 back.
Like you, I think it's going to be fascinating. What a mix of youngsters and veterans! If Kimi was still around that'd be yet another champ on the grid. It's going to be interesting to see the mix of the rookies and the experienced drivers.
I must admit that I'm rather hoping that Schumacher does well - if only to show the youngsters that life really does begin at forty!
We need to get more members in this group so we can have some good post-race discussions.

Wow, I enjoyed that! Great race and so different to last year. These new regulations will take some getting used to, and the lack of refuelling seems strange but 2 second tyre changes - incredible. especially now they have to use manual jacks and not hydraulic ones.
It was great to see a Ferrari 1-2 (I'm biased, admittedly) and good to see Hamilton on the podium. Would the Ferraris have taken Vettel if it hadn't been for his mechanical problem? Alonso seemed to think so in the interview.
And good to see the Lotus team finishing.
I imagine that this season is going to develop really well as the drivers and teams get used to this 'new style' racing. It must be odd for the experienced drivers coming out of the pits with a light car, rather than a refuelled car. But they showed their adaptability.
It's interesting that drivers have to look after their cars more than ever now. I can imagine that this will lead to some real hell-for-leather driving in the last ten laps or so of every race, as drivers out of the points will take more chances. (We could still do with better TV coverage though!)
And of course, I was happy to see Schumacher's result. Full race distance after three years away, with different regs AND finishing in the points.
