Not sure what the noise could be but as far as lifetime oil is concerned, I am not a believer. I am changing my box and diff oils next week. Could be worth a transmission service.

possible fixes - fuel filter , dirty maf sensor ,spark plug/leads , injector problem . does it do it all the time ? or when it gets up to tempreture?
