- Hi Richard. Firstly (if you haven't already) check the oil.
Then an oil change is a good idea before you get too worried.
If the rattle persists get a long ratchet extension or similar, put one end to your ear and the other to where you think the rattle is coming from. This will let you hear the rattle in more detail and help come up with a better diagnosis.
Hopefully you are just low on oil or it is really old.
