Does anyone know where you can buy the official BMW repair and servicing manuals? Years ago Ford used (to/still?) do them and although expensive were far better than Haynes Manuals, loads more detail…

Bulb holders can cause these issues also some after market bulbs i.e. Halfords etc can cause these issues

A reborn petrol head. Public school and moving house away from any race tracks severed my schoolboy passion for cars/motorsports and turned me into a guitar playing prune. So; a little late, I am on my way back. Bought my first BMW Feb 2008 and am addicted. Motor Racing in the 60s early 70s

I first started going Motor racing in the mid sixties, 1965, the year Jim Clark took the crown. My first ever meeting was the Boxing day event at Brands Hatch, with F3 being the main event. I was hooked staight away; the noise and smell of burning rubber and fuel, which complimented the cheese sandwiches mum made for us.

We were on the south bank, with our car; good job, as although a sunny day, it was freezing, but that did not put me off at all.

Slot Car Racing

As a boy from Surrey, a juvenile petrol head, attending most events at Brands Hatch, Silverstone etc with Dad, it was only a matter of time before I was on the floor with a Scalextric.

Cutting a long story short, a few weeks from leaving the Surrey area, Dad died the year before, out on a bike ride, discovering new areas, I stumbled accross a Go Kart track in Worcester Park, Surrey; even better , in the Clubhouse, in a separate room, was a huge slot car track with grown men racing, 8 or 10 lane… Continue
